About Us

The Mill Restaurant opened in August 2006, quickly gaining a reputation as one of Hardware Lane’s best restaurants, and was proud to be featured in The Age Good Food Guide, gaining an entry just 4 months after opening.  The Mill uses the finest ingredients possible, and proudly supports fresh Australian produce.  The Mill is open Monday - Friday for lunch and dinner, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday from 5pm.

Made up of several different areas, including an intimate dining room, a wine bar, and al fresco dining in the lane way the Mill offers something for everyone.  Thursday evening offers live jazz upstairs, and $9 cocktails all night down in Charlie's Bar.   Sunday's are chilled out with live jazz from 6.30pm every Sunday evening (no cover charge) and Sunday roast specials - the perfect way to end a busy weekend.  Whether it's an intimate dining experience or a group celebration the Mill and Charlie's will cater to your every need.

The gorgeous Charlie’s Bar, a sumptuous cocktail lounge is nestled in the basement beneath The Mill.  Drinking and Dining - it's decadence over two levels...what more could you want?  The Mill and Charlie's Bar - the perfect venue for your next celebration - dinner upstairs, followed by drinking and partying downstairs in Charlie's. Bookings essential.

The Mill offers $4 house wine, sparkling and pure blonde pots and $8 pure blonde pints Monday - Saturday 12 noon - 7pm

Sunday Happy hour
$4 pure blonde, house wine and basic spirits 5-8pm
